Naturopathy
Naturopathy - As a naturopath I believe that living as close to nature as possible, reducing or eliminating all toxins, chemicals etc from our lives contributes to our overall wellbeing. Proper nutrition and stress management are two components necessary for a healthy balanced life, and contributes to the body being able to heal.
A Naturopath is a professional person who uses a range of disciplines that aim to promote health and vitality by looking at the body and the person in a holistic manner and treating the person as a whole as opposed to merely the sum of its parts and suppressing symptoms. In order to do this a naturopath will ask questions about your diet; how much exercise is undertaken; the quality and quantity of sleep; whether you smoke, drink or take drugs; your emotional state; the health history of yourself and your family. By establishing what is affecting you overall, a naturopath can figure out how best to treat you, whether that be through lifestyle changes, appropriate exercise, stress management, herbal medicine, supplementation, and in particular nutrition.
